A Sound Process:
How We Collaborate

We begin by asking questions to understand your project and the scope. What do you want to do?What’s the story that you want to tell? What’s your timeline? By asking these questions and gaining insight we will understand how to best approach the project, and figure out if we are a good fit.

Discovery

From there, we’ll put together a Scope of Work including an overview of the project, clearly defined roles and responsibilities, a production schedule, payment structure and a list of deliverables

Agreement

Upon receiving a signed agreement we will start with research and flesh out the idea. We’ll create a treatment document that includes an elevator pitch, an in-depth description with details about the show/project, and an outline of episodes.

Creative Dev.

If necessary, we’ll hire contract producers, editors, mix engineers, fact checkers, and composers to build out the team. Our rolodex of talent runs deep, so we can source the best crew of collaborators. Then we’ll host a kickoff to talk through the details and ensure things run smoothly.

Building a Team

On we go, gathering tape, booking studios, recording interviews, writing scripts, scoring, delivering drafts, gathering feedback, making revisions, mixing and mastering through to final approval. We use industry standard recording gear and editing software.

This also includes: Team Management, Administration, Creating & Sticking to Production Schedules and Hosting Check-In Meetings with Clients / Production Teams

Production

During final delivery we take care in meeting our deadlines, delivering final audio files based on the provided specifications to make things simple and stress free.

Final Delivery

Once the work is complete we love to hear how the project went from our client’s perspective. This could take the form of a final processing meeting where we discuss and celebrate the work along with thoughts for how to best showcase the outcome and our collective wins.

Storytelling

We truly love every aspect of turning sound into story, and while our podcasts are ambitious, our goal is simple: to produce the highest-quality content in both sound and purpose. We’ve become one of the most sought-after Philadelphia agencies because our work goes beyond city limits, as our mission resonates with organizations all over the world.

Founded by veteran producers Alex Lewis and John Myers, with decades of experience producing and working on shows for NPR, BBC Radio and Audible, their work has been heard on shows such as Fresh Air with Terry Gross and Marketplace, and they’ve collaborated with numerous Philly organizations such as Eastern State Penitentiary and BlackStar Projects.
